Were you a little underwhelmed by Maroon 5‘s first single, “Maps”? Ok, maybe I’m in the minority, but I was. Like a typical pop song, it’s become inescapable so I’m enjoying it more. The best part is still the brief gospel-esque breakdown, but the rest ain’t so bad. Well, Adam Levine and Co. has given me an answer to my problem: “It Was Always You”.
The track that sounds something straight out of the 80s offers fans something much more unique and dynamic. When you first you listen to a song and you don’t know where it’s going, that’s a very good thing. I immediately hit repeat on this one.
